Rise Above Guest House
We’re so excited to share the magic of this land with you. Our retreat takes place on the deeply peaceful Rise Above Guest House land just 20 minutes northeast of Bancroft, featuring a sauna, miniature donkeys, trees and open sky. For overnight guests we have a number of accommodations to support rest and connection including a room in the guest house, A-frame cabins and camping spots. Choose to stay in a cabin with friends or partners or share a cabin to meet new friends. Get closer to nature by camping on the land, or join locally while staying off-site.
What's included?
All accomadation options include:
- Nourishing chef-made shared meals during the retreat
- All workshops and group activities
- Use of the wood-fired barrel sauna
- Access to communal gathering areas
- Use of retreat amenities and activity spaces
- Dietary needs and restrictions will be collected during registration.

Forest Room inside the Guest House
Enjoy hilltop and forest views for miles from the shared balcony in the solar-powered sustainable Guest House. This room has a private entrance, bedroom with a 10ft ceiling and indoor bathroom with shower, garden and forest views. This room can accommodate up to 2 guests. The Rise Above land hosts, Marilyn and Svinda, also have their own private quarters in the house.

Hills View Log Cabin
This two floored log cabin was built with pine and hemlock trees harvested from the very land it’s built on. It features a double mattress in the loft of the cabin, a queen fold-out mattress on the main floor, and a small kitchenette. This cabin has a private walk-in about 350 meters from where you will park your car down a slight hill. It has an indoor wood stove and a supply of wood for heat if needed, a potable gravity-fed cold water, all your kitchen basics, and a battery for lighting and basic charging. There is an indoor and outdoor composting toilet in an outhouse behind the cabin. Access to a year-round comfort station with shower, flush toilet and sinks near where you park your car is also available for use.

Juniper & Orchid A-frame Cabins
Get closer to the forest in these two 10’ by 12’ cabins with 2 single beds on the main floor (that can be moved together) and one loft crawl-in space at the top of a ladder. These cabins have a very private walk-in site about 350 meters from where you will park your car down a slight hill. Both have a small wood stove for heat with wood provided, and an outdoor composting toilet in an outhouse near the cabin. Access to a year-round comfort station with shower, flush toilet and sinks near where you park your car is also available for use.
Price: $450 per person

Campsites
Campsites are situated behind the main guest house and are in close proximity to gathering and activity spaces for the retreat. Guests will have access to the main guest house bathrooms and the year-round comfort station with shower, flush toilet and sinks is also available for use. This option is ideal for participants who enjoy sleeping outdoors and want a lower-cost way to attend.

Local/Commuter Participation
If you live nearby or prefer your own accommodations, you’re welcome to join us for the retreat while staying off-site.
